Cold starts place added stress on diesel engines, batteries, and emissions components. The Eberspächer Hydronic HS3 CS D5E addresses this issue by preheating engine coolant before startup. As a result, engines warm more quickly, start easier, and operate more efficiently in cold environments.
This 12V diesel coolant heater delivers up to 5.0 kW (approximately 17,100 BTU) of heating output. Because it heats the coolant directly, warmth is distributed through the engine block and the vehicle’s HVAC system without requiring the engine to run.
The CS (Commercial Series) configuration supports advanced control options and diagnostic capability. In addition, this installation kit includes the essential components required for proper fuel delivery, coolant circulation, exhaust routing, and mounting. This simplifies installation and ensures consistent performance in fleet and professional applications.
By reducing idle time and cold-start emissions, the Hydronic HS3 also helps support longer service life for DOC and DPF systems.
