Description
Product Overview
The Sy-Klone 9003 Precleaner protects large, high-flow diesel engines that work in extreme dust and debris. It uses a centrifugal airflow design. Because the incoming air spins inside the housing, heavier debris moves outward and exits through discharge ports. Cleaner air then continues toward the engine’s main filter.
With its 8-inch inlet and 800–1150 CFM range, the 9003 is one of the largest precleaners in the 9000 Series. It fits machines used in mining, construction, forestry, waste handling, and industrial operations. The system relies on airflow alone, so it does not need wiring. As a result, crews can count on steady performance and low maintenance demands. It also supports longer engine filter life by removing debris before it reaches the intake system.

Applications & Fitment
The Sy-Klone 9003 is used on high-horsepower engines found in:
-
Large mining trucks and loaders
-
Heavy construction excavators and dozers
-
High-capacity agricultural harvesters
-
Industrial diesel power units
-
Large forestry equipment
-
Waste-handling and landfill machines
These machines often operate in severe dust, so strong pre-filtration is essential.
Maintenance
Check the precleaner during regular service. Because dust can collect around the housing and ejection slots, remove loose debris and confirm strong airflow. Replace the unit if cracks form or if debris no longer ejects as expected. These checks help maintain proper engine airflow.
