Overview

The BT5-4482 SD7H15HD compressor is designed for 12V heavy-duty mobile HVAC systems, particularly those used in Freightliner trucks. Because of its direct long-mount design, the compressor provides rigid installation and improved stability under vibration and sustained load. At the same time, the 8-groove, 119 mm clutch ensures dependable belt engagement on modern high-accessory diesel engines.

Additionally, this unit uses an MDA-style cylinder head with horizontal Tube-O 1 × 14 fittings, which allows for OEM-correct hose routing and clean integration into existing systems. As a result, it installs easily in both replacement and retrofit applications. Furthermore, clockwise rotation and a 2-wire female Packard connector ensure compatibility with standard heavy-duty A/C control circuits using R134a refrigerant.
