BT4-7143 Receiver Drier – Heavy-Duty A/C System

Description

The BTRAC BT4-7143 Receiver Drier is designed to protect mobile and heavy-duty air conditioning systems by removing moisture, acids, and contaminants from the refrigerant circuit. As a result, it helps prevent internal corrosion, reduce component wear, and extend compressor life.

This receiver drier is based on the Red Dot 74R3137 design and utilizes hard molecular sieve desiccant (XH-9). Because of this, it is fully compatible with R-134a refrigerant, as well as PAG and ester oils commonly used in mobile HVAC systems. In addition, an integrated moisture indicator allows technicians to visually monitor system condition during service and maintenance.

For added safety, the BT4-7143 includes a fusible plug rated at 107 °C (±4 °C) to relieve pressure during over-temperature conditions. The exterior features a black corrosion-resistant finish designed to withstand salt spray and harsh operating environments often encountered in on-road and off-highway equipment.

Thanks to its size, connection style, and desiccant capacity, the BT4-7143 is commonly specified in heavy-duty trucks, buses, vocational vehicles, and off-highway equipment equipped with Red Dot-based mobile air conditioning systems.
